Of Panniers and Paradigms
Today I received two panniers, a handlebar bag, and a seat bag, all donated by Banjo Brothers of Minneapolis, Minn., who agreed to sponsor this tour. Thanks!
Special thanks goes to Mike Vanderscheuren, of Banjo Brothers, for your generosity. My first impressions of the Banjo Brothers bags is that they are very well made. They are waterproof, and fit well on my bike. The Banjo Brothers handlebar bag has a clear sheath on top of it for a map, and light clip loop at the front. The waterpoof material velcros in or out. The handlebar bag detaches with ease from the mount, which secures to the handlebar with a four bolts and a sheathed cable. The panniers use the same velcroed-in waterproof material which can easily be removed, which will be helpful to dry them when needed. They strap on tightly with the elastic strap that hooks below, and two metal clips that hook at the top, and sport reflective piping on the edges. A seat bag completes the gear the company sent me. It straps on securely with velcro straps to the seat post. I'm very pleased to have them on my bike. The Minneapolis company has a robust line of products on their website.
